What do you it in them?
Have used lottery tickets and chocolates in the past, would like ideas for next year please as I've just bought a load reduced!

I bought little bottles of flavoured gin (Sainsbury’s), pen with a torch in the end, nail polish and for children I bought some pretty hair clips and jewellery from accessorize

hmmm bottles of gin sound a bit heavy, I will never forget the year we got crackers with a golf ball in one. Nearly took out one of my parents display cabinets!

Winegumaddict · 01/01/2019 19:58

We had earrings in our this year and pens for the boys I think.

Not tried it yet but planning on making my own next Christmas and using mini bottles of aftershave / perfume .

Notso · 01/01/2019 20:00

Yes we had a glass smashing incident with a nail varnish filled one once!
Although I do like the idea of miniatures.

Where did you get the cracker kits from? I stocked up years ago but am out after this year. I’ve been doing this for about 30 years! Contents vary according to recipient. Have included earrings, lipsticks, lip salves, socks, pants, key rings, Greggs voucher, costa voucher, chocolate, a clue for the start of a treasure hunt for the kids, canvas bags, teabag bath soak, hand cream, hand sanitiser, the list goes on...

Notso · 01/01/2019 23:58

I got them from Asda CatsMother66

You can get them in dunhelm they were about £150 for 4 I think.

We put posh key rings, tiny toys (dd2 got barbie pots and pans), earrings and so on. My kids really appreciate them

CatsMother66 · 02/01/2019 10:09

Thanks Notso and Queen. Don’t shop in Asda as there’s not one local but will call in one when I’m passing.

x2boys · 02/01/2019 10:11

I watched a documentary before xmas ,they were filled with diamonds,I'm guessing this isn't what you were thinking of?

Queenofthedrivensnow · 02/01/2019 11:02
