Id actually tell her that she is monumentally selfish coming to stay with a gastric bug

Do you have children in the house? afraid I would be telling her to go home or stay in her room for 48hrs, no way I’d be letting that spread around my house over Xmas or any time of year for that matter

I assume her singleness has been mentioned for context (nobody specifically default nominated to look after her, she'd possibly be alone if she left and have to do the journey alone, or similar).

Going against the grain here but did she was facing Xmas alone she may have been desperate for company. I don't condone turning up with the shits but she must have been pretty determined to drive that long with diarrhoea.
