Wwyd - school/bullying issue

Ds today managed to get white paint on his jumper. At lunch, two lovely boys were chanting ‘come boy’ at him.

He didn’t know what they meant, but he didn’t like it.

Wwyd? Mention to form teacher or not? Or just teach ds more witty replies to twats’ comments?

I would say it depends whether your ds is in reception or y13.

If he is little I would say something about (presumably) older kids making sexualized comments.

If he's older I would probably leave it unless there was a recurrent theme of certain kids picking on him. I might consider explaining what they meant.

Ops, sorry - he’s Year 7. Age 11.

If anything like this happens again or he mentions it I would absolutely have a chat with a teacher about it.

Until then, just make sure he’s ok.

Kids can be so unknowingly cruel

Youmatter · 13/12/2018 22:18

Hell yea teach him some witty comments

olivertwistwantsmore · 13/12/2018 22:19

It’s not unknowingly cruel, youmatter - the little shits are definitely knowing they’re being cruel

Well fuck them then. Sorry I was in a rush and should’ve read that more carefully!

How is he this evening about it all?

Lifeofsmiley · 13/12/2018 22:22

Is this a one off incident? If so I’d teach him just to answer back or shrug it off, a “fuck off “ should do it.
If there’s more repeated behaviour I’d definitely be approaching the school.

DS struggled in year 7 with a couple of older boys.
I asked school to intervene with little joy. DH (DS's stepdad) eventually told him to just repeat 'fuck off and leave me alone' whenever they approached him.

DHs approach had much more success Hmm

If he tells them to fuck off, he’ll get into more trouble... but I appreciate the sentiment!

Thank god it’s Friday tomorrow eh! If he has anymore bother get straight to the school.

It’ll be some other poor child next week
