A gift wrap organiser/storage tube.... Someone does because it's out of stock!!

Really? My half used tubes just get shoved in the wardrobe until they're next required..

I have a couple from Ikea, the variera, it is loads cheaper at £1.50

silkpyjamasallday · 12/12/2018 13:13

I'm going to hunt for one of those massive ones now. I wouldn't have thought to look for one but they re exactly what I need. I used to keep all my gift wrap stuff in a giant gift bag, but it didn't protect it and loads got ruined when we moved. My DM would also like one I'm sure... Grin

cjt110 · 12/12/2018 13:14

@silkpyjamasallday The one above is from The Range.

B&Q have loads of these storage bags for various Christmas items!

I love the ones with bauble compartments!!!

TheFifthKey · 12/12/2018 13:39

I have a gift wrap organiser (though I got it off Amazon for about £6) - this year was the first time I'd used it and it was a joy to get all the paper in one place, not creased/damp/bashed, with tags, pen, scissors and sellotape all together. The strap means you can sling it over your shoulder to take up/downstairs and also hang it up (which is key to the not getting bashed/creased scenario). I think it's the first year I haven't bought any new wrapping stuff because I knew at a glance how much there was. It's made it so easy!

@mickhucknallspinkpancakes yesterday my dh found our many years old copy of Tv Go Home in the loft. I was flicking through it and laughing my arse off at Widdleplop Farm and Mick Hucknalls Pink Pancakes. So high five for your username! Grin

Love this thread

Literally everyone buys this shit GrinGrinGrin

I asked for a wrapping paper box for my birthday 5yrs ago. My PIL bought it for me. I was, and still am, absolutely thrilled with it Grin

JudgeRindersMinder · 12/12/2018 13:52

I have one which looks very similar, that I made out of a couple of shopping bags.

So OP it would appear that you're in the minority 😉😁

BrieAndChilli · 12/12/2018 13:53

i have one and it holds all the wrapping stuff - xmas, birthday, plain paper along with all the ribbon, bows, labels etc Plus i have a pen, scissors and sellotape in there.

Mildmanneredmum · 12/12/2018 13:55

What?? I never knew these existed! The answer to my prayers! I'm off to buy one now.

BlackCatSleeping · 12/12/2018 13:59

I have all my rolls of wrapping paper stored on top of a bookcase so the paper-eating cat doesn't destroy it all. I have to admit the rolls often fall down though, so I've been thinking of getting one of these bags for it.

EffYouSeeKaye · 12/12/2018 14:09

I have a gift wrap drawer. It contains rolls, packets, tissue paper and emergency card stash. Tape and scissors are stored in a smaller drawer above with pens and post-its.

I kind of want to burn it all now so I can buy one of Mick’s hanging bags.

InDubiousBattle · 12/12/2018 14:15

I have a wrapping shelf in my craft cupboard. I now really want the hanging thingies in Mick's post!

cjt110 · 12/12/2018 14:34

@LaurieFairyCake 'Cept me it would appear GrinBlush

Mine all live in a sledge.

Nothisispatrick · 12/12/2018 16:06

Oh actually the second one looks handy. I just shove it all in the Xmas box and it gets squashed and ripped.

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 12/12/2018 16:12

@OverwateredCheeseplant you are the second poster in less than a month to enjoy TVGohome and recognize my username. I'm suitably impressed. Xmas Grin

I actually got jealous of the wrapping station Mitch & Cam had in Modern Family. I think it was the episode "Express Christmas".

It suddenly created a huge hole in my organizational life goals. Xmas Blush

MiddlingMum · 12/12/2018 18:07

Ours stands upright in a bucket the builders left behind. Works perfectly.

SexNotJenga · 12/12/2018 18:10

I've always wanted one of these! I nearly got one off Amazon but when I looked the reviews weren't very good so I didn't bother Sad

CigarsofthePharoahs · 12/12/2018 18:16

I bought a hanging one from clas ohlson. It has pockets for tape, scissors and tags too.
Much tidier.

Pinkprincess1978 · 12/12/2018 18:21

I have a bag one and yes it is useful. Keeps them together behind my chest of drawers. I don't have a wardrobe or cupboard to keep them.

Kenworthington · 12/12/2018 18:33

Ha I’ve got one- mines from ikea. It’s xlmpletely brilliant! Sorry op!

Millie2013 · 12/12/2018 18:37

I have one, stocked with kids and plain wrapping paper, it goes with my box of presents and cards for those “oh shiiiiit, DD has a party tomorrow” moments
