Received someone else's parcel

Got home to find a parcel on our front step. It's not for us. The intended recipient lives nearby, different postcode, etc. I've rung the contact mobile number on the label and left a voicemail for her asking her to call to arrange to collect.

I'm not going to spend my evening trying to contact the delivery company, etc but if she doesn't get back to me, what the hell do I do?

Take it round. Stop being such a drama llama.

If you're in a small North East coastal town and it's HelloFresh and you've got white garage doors, please pm me because I haven't had a missed call from you and I am really hungry, more than happy to come and collect. Cheers.

Why would you get embroiled in anything?? Seems a fairly easy mistake to rectify.
I wouldn’t do anything except wait for them to phone me back and sort it. I’m sure they’ll call when they get a minute.

Witchend · 10/12/2018 19:25

I've both taken round in such a circumstance and had a (much wanted) parcel brought round to me in an almost identical situation.

It didn't even occur to me to do otherwise, even though I didn't drive and had toddlers at the time.

In the time it has taken you to post this thread, read and respond to all responses, you could have already dropped it off. Or, carried on eating your dinner (which you did, which is great) and waited to see if the person replied to your text message. There appears to be no problem, yet.

What's the betting that the intended recipient replies, thanks you very much and comes to collect their parcel?

Is there a conclusion to this thread?...

BumDisease · 13/12/2018 12:03

Why so dramatic OP?

Kittykat93 · 13/12/2018 13:09

Wow. I hope you took it round there in the end op. Really not worth all the Agro for the sake of a bloody five minute drive 😂

Why can't people do nice things sometimes just because? Everything has to be a bloody drama to get worked up over

zippey · 13/12/2018 13:20

If they don’t collect just keep the item or give it to someone as an Xmas gift.
