Hotel Chocolate Velvetiser

Was just about to buy a Velvetiser when I read that you can only use Hotel Chocolat products with it. My DD doesn't even like their chocolate! It's pricey too.

Are there cheaper alternatives?

Aldi do their own version.

However I've got one and I've used Green & Blacks, Cadburys and even a dollop of Nutella (although it didn't like that much) - why do you think it only uses HC products?

According to this the Hotel Chocolat version can work with other products, but cheaper options are available,

Thanks everyone. I read it on their website about it only being used with HC products. Am not spending that much cash though - it's loads. I've decided.
