Birthday party invitations

Party is on the 20 January
Would you give the invitations before the Christmas break or after?!
I can see pros and cons for both!
The earliest we could hand them out is 9th Jan

Before with a reminder after the holidays.

Send them before the Christmas school break. I would do it it next week if you can. I received a party invitation for my daughter for the 13th jan about a week ago. Perfectly acceptable.
