Interview Q: What's your weakness?

How do you answer this? I'm not sure 'I have NO weaknesses' will cut it. Please help!

Choose something about the on you’ve never done before and say that your weakness is that. You can learn, sorted.

I lack confidence in my own abilities is a good one. Well for me it is true so im saving that.

I like the point about weaknesses and "weaknesses related to the task in hand".

Im slow to take responsibility because i need to prove to myself that im ready first.

No matter what you choose, the question is designed to let the interviewer know that A.) you're aware of it, and B.) what you're doing to deal with it.

So make sure you give an example of what you do to combat it.

I’d probably say “it’s fairly obviously food, just look at me!” And not get the job.

Maybe I should just say “my big fat mouth.”

Q: What's your greatest weakness?
A: Honesty
Q: I don't think that's really a weakness?
A: I don't give a fuck what you think

Probably not the best way to get a job though...

I really like the "not being able to switch off and having a notebook to jot things down".

My standard go to with the weakness question was always Perfectionist because that's the truth!

I could try, "I want to punch people who ask stupid questions."

I also hate the question "Why do you want this job?"

The dreaded "Where do you see yourself in 5/10 years?" also!

It's all such a silly dance isn't it.

Even worse are civil service interviews you see on here all the time, where you basically learn answers by rote so they can be box-ticked, nothing about you as a person or what you can actually bring to the job.

the phrase "STAR format" makes me rage

I want an interview if only to say this!

I immediately thought of this...

I hate this question because my weakness genuinely is I’m a massive perfectionist and it means I never get anything bloody done. But I can hardly say that, can I?
