Look at the mess. Absolutely raging and now jumping every time a firework goes off
It came through my window, missed me by a few inches and landed next to me
I thought "fuck, that's not exploded yet" and ran out the living room, slammed the door as it's a fire door and as I did so I heard it go off

I was terrified. Just glad it didn't land somewhere in a child's bed or in a room with someone who couldn't get out in time, I had maybe 5-10 seconds

I bet you were!! Do any of your neighbours have CCTV or motion activated dash cams that could have captured the incident perhaps?

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2018 12:13

Sadly not, it was on the road behind us so no cars park there and no CCTV

Beautiful cats both you and the OP have Thanks Bear

Your cat could be mines twin! Mine is called Percy.
Can we crowd fund your excess? Id donate in a heartbeat.
I'm so sorry this has happened to you.
Fireworks should absolutely be confined to organised displays only.

I've messaged a few carpet companies to come and give me quotes. Unfortunately it's an open plan room and all one piece of carpet so I suspect it's going to be towards 4 figures. Bastards

It's worth buying a little extra carpet - there are companies that can do fantastic patch jobs.
