Hi,
Minor car accident 7 months ago. Left me with Prolonged Post Concussion Syndrome. Previously had issues with memory, speech etc. Started with splitting migraines just over a month ago. Had head scan, no bleed found. My GP is trying to get me an emergency referral to a neurologist.
Yesterday, in town with my partner in a busy shop, we were talking and all of a sudden I felt sick and then just couldn't speak. Went numb down my right side. I could make grunts but couldn't speak. This lasted about 20 minutes. Came out of it feeling really woozy. Had a second one today but not as severe.
I don't know what to do as my doctor has already referred me but I'm back in work tomorrow and I'm nervous about this happening at work.

Any thoughts?

I would get medical attention as soon as possible (A&E?). Numbness down one side and difficulty speaking are both symptoms of stroke www.nhs.uk/conditions/stroke/symptoms/

Go to A&E (I work in A&E if that helps).

It'll be quieter this time on a Sunday night. Better to go now and get seen on your time than to be taken unwell at work and have a big drama.

That and, you know, your symptoms means there are things needing ruled out.

Off you go.

Stroke, seizure.... you need to go to a and e.

siakcaci · 04/11/2018 23:20

Get yourself to A&E now
