Coz it's cold

Really cold here west central Scotland but a clear blue sky so no snow.

WorraLiberty · 27/10/2018 16:27

You say it's October like it's the middle of June! We're days away from November!

I was just thinking that! Grin

AGHHHH · 27/10/2018 16:31

@WorraLiberty I'm just imagining them running downstairs on Christmas morning and crying out WHAT'S WITH THE GIANT TREE IN OUR LIVING ROOM?!!

WorraLiberty · 27/10/2018 16:33

AGHHHH Grin Grin Grin

Or during Summer... "What's that great big ball of fire in the sky?"

onalongsabbatical · 27/10/2018 17:10

Tinlegs I think with a garden and a view like that, come next summer, you need to be hosting a mumsnet garden party. Just sayin... Grin

lubeybooby · 27/10/2018 17:12

we had snow for most of the day here. I am 350m up a hill though it was still a bit of a surprise. The forecast said it wouldn't be further south than snowdonia and... we are further south than that so. Oh well.

Rarfy · 27/10/2018 17:14

North East. Street was whiteover this morning when we woke up. Still hangingaround now albeit slushy.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 27/10/2018 17:15

Dh has just rung to ask me that! He's down down in the Forest of Dean & it's chucking it down with the stuff apparently. I gleefully told him all we've got (in South Warks) is rain Grin

DuggeesWooOOooggle · 27/10/2018 17:40

Another one in the Tinlegs' garden fan club. What a view! I would never get bored of looking out at that. Please tell us roughly where you are!

Loyaultemelie · 27/10/2018 18:06

Have had hail and fairly determined sleet here in NI but now got alarmingly clear sky

Topseyt · 27/10/2018 18:16

No snow here (Essex) though it feels quite cold and is only about 6°. I don't think any is forecast, but I guess it isn't impossible.

I hate snow. It can piss right off.

SheWhoDaresGins2 · 27/10/2018 19:02

AGHHH and Worra

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

NigelGresley · 27/10/2018 19:54

tinlegs daren't say where she is for fear of having a hoard of mumsnetters turn up to make an offer on the house GrinGrin

hugoagogo · 27/10/2018 20:01

Cause I love it and I paid the price upfront in putting up with the worst hottest summer ever.Halloween Grin

AnneBoleynsHead · 27/10/2018 20:04

GhoulishGremlins I also may or may not live in Buxton. I was running in it this morning😂

theboxofdelights · 27/10/2018 20:35

Dusting of snow on the ground here now. We are leaving at 630am for a week of 24 degrees and sunny ☀️ 😎 which is as hot as I can cope with, as in not as hot as it was here in the summer because I couldn’t cope with that!

LanguidLobster · 27/10/2018 20:37

Fine here, south coast.

Surprised to hear some have had snow already.

GhoulishGremlins · 27/10/2018 20:41

@AGHHHH @WorraLiberty Oh shush Grin what I meant was it shouldn't snow until around Christmas!!

@AnneBoleynsHead You're mad!

Tin legs can i camp in your garden

Tinlegs · 27/10/2018 20:44

I am in NW Scotland. Garden very much open for parties.

It might delight you to know our neighbours recently purchased their house (and garden) for £275k. 5 bedrooms, 4 reception rooms.

But, a long way from the M25.

All welcome. The islands behind the snowstorm are utterly beautiful and the beach is fine white sand under the snow (Which we get little of - for proper snow you have to head inland).

Branleuse · 27/10/2018 20:46

Gorgeous gorgeous. I love the highlands

BikeRunSki · 27/10/2018 20:47

Snowy in Holmfirth this morning.

IpanemaChica · 27/10/2018 20:54

We were paddling in the sea today and eating ice creams in the sunshine - dorset coast.

DuggeesWooOOooggle · 27/10/2018 21:06

I would move up there in a heartbeat Tinlegs, I adore Scotland, especially the wild NW. Don't even mind when it's dreich which is roughly 80% of the time.

poorpaws · 27/10/2018 21:52

I’ve walked along the beach today, eaten a bacon butty outside at a cafe just off the beach and had an ice cream on the way home. 5 hour dog walk, cold in the shade but lovely (south Devon).
