Periods.. anyone had this?

I have been on the pill for years. Worked brilliantly. Didn’t have periods at all and if I did get anything it was only enough for a panty liner if that.

The Last six months. my periods have started again. But they are not heavy just long.

My period last time last over three weeks. This months I will have been on for four weeks on sat.

My doctor has sent me for a scan which is on sat morning. Just wondered if anyone else has had this. As I’m working myself up into a huge state. I have no one to come with me and I’m getting a bit scared.

Great news, no one warns you of the crazy shit that goes on with your body when you reach “a certain age”🤣

Ahhh, early 40s!

I am 43 and on the mini pill. Had no periods for first 6 months of the year, came off pill for various reasons for a couple of months, normalish period in August, back on pill, 6ish weeks later started with a light period and still on - 3 weeks today.

Was thinking it could be the start of the peri menopause. Maybe we can go through it together!
