Neighbours ‘reserving’ parking

I feel like I’m losing my mind and just need an outlet. Have written threads about my NDNs before under this name and a name change. From criminal damage of my property to dogs barking for hours at a time, this incident has pushed me over the edge! We live in a small terrace on a public road that is used by workers parking for the near by factories. There are zero markings, no yellow lines or anything. We have a shared driveway round the back where at least 4 cars can fit easily. Got up this morning and NDNs had put three traffic cones out blocking both the space outside my house and ‘their space’. I then saw them come back and put the cones in their boot as I was leaving for work. It’s so weird and entitled! The cheek of blocking the bit outside my house as well, like I don’t need access. They should get a fine for obstructing a public road. Do I tell the council if they carry on? It will be causing major inconvience to the factory workers and NDNs can park their car round the back of the houses. I really don’t understand them or anyone like thisConfused

I’ve contacted my local council and the non emergency police but yet to receive a response. The road isn’t designed for on-road parking, which is why we have off road parking(!), and is mainly for lorries that deliver/load at the surrounding factories. They’ve put cones out for the 3rd week in a row now I honestly feel like I’m going crazy getting so annoyed at something like this! My real issue with the cones is that they’re placed right in the middle of a road and could cause a serious accident if a lorry/car swerves and the road is busy

Have you actually spoken to the neighbours and asked them to stop?

Yeah but they just stopped putting a cone outside my house instead of halting all together. I’ve had to move them to park myself and told them that it’s a public road etc etc but was just shrugged off and ignored. Will just have to put up with it and hope someone else gets annoyed too. It’s not a huge issue just don’t want it to cause an accident, wouldn’t really be a problem if lorries didn’t use this road

Throw them over nearest wall. hmm maybe not. Photo them and send to local council and move them every time you see them.
