how to post a bike 200 miles?

I need to send a family members bicycle to them about 200 miles away. Driving it there or hiring a van isn't an option. Is there a way I can get a courier to drive it there for me? It doesn't collapse or really come apart. Is there a way to post it?

Thank you

We once sold a rowing boat and send it by courier. I can't remember which company it was but they were very helpful.

DHL or the like - they'll pretty much deliver anything.

You can send in a well-packed cardboard bike box easily enough with all the main couriers. Would have to do stuff like remove handlebars, seat post, and pedals though most likely, so depends how mechanically adept you are. Best bet would be to take to a local independent bike shop (Not Halfords) and ask in they would disassemble and box up for you (they'll have plenty of spare boxes from deliveries usually). £20-30 maybe? Can then just take it and get a courier to collect from you. Have a look on some parcel carrier comparison websites once know size of box, not necessarily that expensive
