Because we are going to Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studios tomorrow.

What should we be sure not to miss?

The bus?

celticmissey · 13/10/2018 17:34

See all of it! It's fab and open until late.definately do the photos on s broomstick! If you're going to get a butter - just get the one it's sickly sweet....

SmokeAndBone · 13/10/2018 18:00

The little box with Harry's scar in it.
And the identical set of clothes, each one a little more distressed than the previous set.

Enjoy! It's wonderful.

Leave plenty of time for the journey from St Alban's as traffic can cause delays. The ice cream butter beer is nicer than the drink. The shop is expensive, the pound shop in At Alban's has some Harry Potter stuff :)

Agree! DH got the drink and I didn’t like it at all but the ice cream was lovely.

Are you asking about HP specifically or St Albans town in general for tonight? You could nip round the corner to the Craft & Cleaver for dinner.

Brigante9 · 13/10/2018 18:43

Craft and Cleaver is very nice. Also make sure you walk down to the Cathedral and round the park-tons of herons, quite a sight! St Albans is frankly more interesting than Harry Potter studios which is actually in Watford round the corner from my house.

BikeRunSki · 13/10/2018 18:57

Sorry, HP Studios in particular.

We’re at the Waffle House for dinner.

Walk back up from the Waffle House. If you have no kids with you, go to Suckerpunch on George St for a cocktail.

LittleSwede · 13/10/2018 19:08

Little Marrakesh, a lovely little Morrocan place on your way down to the old bell tower. For tomorrow night that is, just noticed you're at the Waffle House for dinner tonight (good choice!)

Breakfast at The Barn, a Weatherspoon, which is a cross the road from Premier Inn, behind Nationwide.

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 13/10/2018 19:10

Wear comfy shoes! There is a lot to see and you’ll be there a long time.

MairzyDoats · 13/10/2018 19:15

Waffle house is nice but bloody expensive for what it is!! Have a walk up into town from there, it's lovely.

EdWinchester · 13/10/2018 19:24

Sorry, but the Waterend Barn is one of the worst places in St Albans! I would not go in there when there are myriad classier joints!

IntentsAndPorpoises · 13/10/2018 19:26

I'm unusual in that I really liked the butterbeer. It reminded me of cream soda/coke floats.

My great Granddad and nan are buried in the lovely little churchyard, and his initials are carved into the wall in the community hall wall.
