I am trying to cut down on plastic and we definitely use too many of these...

We use a plastic box and it comes home for washing each day, same with a water bottle.

Reusable plastic tubs/boxes most of the time that will go in the dishwasher. Also paper sandwich bags especially good if you don’t want to be carrying empty pots around eg when going on holiday

I made beeswax wraps. Easy as anything. Get cotton, get beeswax, melt beeswax onto cotton. (V low oven setting or iron - under greaseproof paper).

Plastic takeaway boxes get reused here. Shallow enough to hold rolls firmly so they don't fall apart.

The sistema lunch cube is perfect.

The kids take a packed lunch to school. They have lunch boxes and I wrap the sandwich in a square of kitchen roll - they can then use it as a napkin.

We have loads of plastic boxes!

Sistema ones are good; I have a variety from big to small. YumBoxes are great; pricey but brilliant. Take away boxes; recycled from various take aways but good for the freezer. Random margarine/fresh soup/ice cream/etc tubs for the freezer a'la 'my mum in the early 80s' 😅

I wash and reuse most sandwich or food bags. Always mean to buy a sandwich wrap but i see Besmurching has a fantastic method! Need to buy beeswax though.

DH and DS have got something like this for their sandwiches:

Combination of plastic boxes, homemade beeswax wraps and old fashioned paper bags here. Still use some plastic bags but nowhere near as many.

Reusable sandwich wrap things! We’ve got one that’s been going strong for 4 years now. It wipes clean, and I pop it in the washing machine every now and then.

Just thinking about it, my Nana (born in 1894) used to wrap our picnics in cloth napkins same ones she used at the dinner table, and then throw them in the wash when we got home. My older boys used to have stainless steel water bottles in high school. Wide neck ones that were easy to wash.
