Did your baby keep their curls?

Just wondering if my DD’s beautiful ringlets will go straight if I ever get her hair cut, which is what everyone is saying it’s likely to do!

Much like crunchymum's daughter, DD's curls have dropped but are still there. Both my ex and I have straight hair so I always expected them to drop out, but underneath she still has proper ringlets.

My brother had a mop of golden curly hair, it was so gorgeous. It got too long so mum had it cut and then it just stayed straight and darkened very quickly.

My DS has very curly white/blonde hair at the moment (15 months) I aren't going to cut it for a while because I think the curls will disappear. MIL says DH was the same but has super straight hair now

DS has curly hair but you can't tell really as it's cut quite short. My hair is also naturally curly.

My eldest kept her curls. She hates them, everyone else loves them. DH pretty much has an afro so it's in the genes.

I have twin girls. They both had crazy curls when they were little. The curliest one's dropped out and she now just has very thick waves. The other one still has her beautiful curls, but they're not as tight as they used to be. Here's my curly girly at around 6 yo. Her hair is in a short bob just under her ears now, and still very very curly. They're 10 now.

Ds2 had beautiful ringlets as a littely, now he's 25 and still has them or he would if he didn't keep it really short for work.

On the reverse side of things, I had poker straight hair until I turned 40, now I have hair like Bluntness 's daughter, full on ringlets everywhere.

Ticktickboomboom Your daughters hair is just amazing!! My DD’s isn’t anywhere near that, I am thinking it might drop. Her cousins hair dropped a little and she had very similar hair at this age.

My dd is 5, and whilst she had the most beautiful curls as a baby, these days it looks more like she’s been dragged through a hedge backwards

@IamPickleRick - thanks, her hair is gorgeous. We can't go anywhere without people commenting on it. She is very proud of her curls - I just really hope she doesn't decide to straighten it when she gets older.

Mine did but now he is in the armed forces he had to keep his hair short and the curls are curbed! 😞

I’m gutted, two of my three had golden curls as toddlers but all three now have straight hair. I have very curly hair.
