Crochet Tampons. Any good?

Just browsing Etsy and saw these. Anyone use crochet tampons? (I have some purple cotton crochet yarn I bought once upon a time to make some small face flannels...)

Someone on the 'worst homemade Christmas present' thread got a crocheted cover for a KitKat - but this is something else entirely!

I may try selling needle-felted mooncups...

Well, she seems to have 51 5 star reviews so clearly some people think they are a good idea

I'm more concerned that people have actually bought them and left rave reviews one even mentions loving them so much she's going to buy some as gifts. Imagine unwrapping a set of those bad boys Xmas day!

Stick a pair of eyes on them and they'd make great toy mice for cats to play with.
Unfortunately mine prefers the real thing

I have styled out some bad, bad Christmas presents - the faux Victorian letter opener from Past Times being a particular highlight, thanks DM -- but I don't think even I could style out opening a set of crocheted tampons on Christmas morning!

Does anyone remember the site that took the piss out of Etsy sellers? It was called Regretsy , used to keep me entertained during many a work lunch break

I really want to believe that these are just intended as a decorative item.

Not safe or hygienic. Get a moon cup. Or use reusable pads.

I wouldn’t have thought they were any less hygienic or more liable to cause TSS than a sponge.

Which isn’t to say they aren’t totally bonkers

So if you buy you get one of each size. So you presumably have auto adjusting periods as you can't use the same size twice running?!
