How would you pronounce café?
Would you say ‘caf-ay’
Or ‘caf’ ?

Who knew the tiger who came to tea could cause such a debate?!

My eldest DD for some reason says "c'f-AY" as in, the emphasis is on the "ay" sound. The "caf" is more of a "kk" sound. I don't know why she does this, we're not French!

Absolutely love the idea that mummy is a bored alcoholic Grin Maybe she used to live the high life pre-kids... bored with daddy working all those hours. Can just imagine the conversation "we've got nothing in great idea daddy let's go out. No she's FINE in her nightie" Grin

Aargh, meant to stress first syllable but point stands re only pronouncing one.
I don't know how far a single tin of tiger food is going to get those people anyway. Unless maybe it's very energy-dense like Complan or something, surely they will need about fifteen?
Grin @ drunkenly slashing on lippie while heading out with be-nightied child!
