Sorry TMI

Can someone advise? I had a pea sized tender lump beside my clitoris all day today, not a Bartholin cyst. It’s now tripled in size and I’m close to tears. It’s throbbing. I’ve taken ibuprofen and I’m gonna put a hot compress on

Can anything else help? It must be a sebaceous cyst maybe infected. I’ve never felt pain like this I can’t walk or sleep

I get these a lot, as PP said if I'm run down especially. They go shiny and smooth like malteaser size and they really hurt! Can't wear jeans etc. I give it a quick squeeze every hour or so and it makes it come to a head a bit quicker. Boiling hot clean flannel on, and once it heads up pop it. Hurts like all hell but as soon as it's done the relief is amazing.

EleanorLavish · 22/09/2018 12:22

A good hot bath might help OP?
Don’t be afraid to go back if you are feeling really rough.

BabyGoatsInPyjamas · 22/09/2018 12:26

I am fucking miserable. It's my DS birthday tomorrow Sad when I stand up I can feel it throbbing

Would sudocrem help bring the head up? Main ingredient is zinc.

Sorry you are in so much pain op, it sounds awful. Hope you feel some relief soon!

PatchworkElmer · 22/09/2018 12:26

Hope it’s popped now OP. If not I’d ask for more medical help.

Inthetropics · 22/09/2018 16:14

It probably need to be lanced. I had one of those and it didn't have a "head" as it was deeper in the skin. When it was lanced the pain stopped imediately.

Cleanermaidcook · 22/09/2018 17:02

i get these when im run down, i get in a hot bath and squeeze it, doesnt seem to hurt as much if i do it in the bath. (still bloody hurts)
Could you bear to do this?

PurpleDaisies · 22/09/2018 17:06

How are you doing now? Have a low threshold for going back to the doctor if you are feeling unwell in yourself.

BabyGoatsInPyjamas · 22/09/2018 19:22

I went to a and e again

They lanced it. I cried

And the fucker has filled back up again Sad

OP posts:
FapandSnart · 22/09/2018 19:26

Oh poor you! That’s really quick for it to fill back up. I get magnesium sulphate paste from the chemist, which brings it to a head.

Pastaagain78 · 22/09/2018 20:18

Oh no! Bastard thing!

PatchworkElmer · 22/09/2018 20:33

Ouch 😱

ButAIBUtho · 22/09/2018 20:35

Does anyone else remember the last bollickle thread?

Nasty OP, I imagine it's very fucking painful.
I hope it clears up for you soon. Flowers

holycityzoo · 22/09/2018 20:53

I remember katopotato and her follicle bollicle.
Op can you go back? I'm sorry you're in so much pain.

t00dle00 · 22/09/2018 21:01

I'm prone to cysts. You have my sympathies OP.

I use Epsom salts in my baths. Every single day.

They work miracles with me. Reduce gold ball cysts to nothing within 24 hours.

Are you on antibiotics?

penisbeakers · 22/09/2018 23:57

I'm sorry you've had a horrible time love.

I keep a supply of fine medical needles, alcohol wipes, and nitrile gloves, as I sometimes get cysts in delicate places, despite being clean as fuck. I know this isn't something everyone can stomach, but I have sat in a hot bath and lanced things myself. Relieving the pressure helps with the pain a lot. It's not unusual for them to fill up again, but after the lancing, you can drain them fairly easily and clean up with alcohol swabs.

My pain threshold is pretty high but these do make me wince a bit when I have had to lance them.

This is where I get my things from:

TeddyBee · 23/09/2018 00:11

I trundled along with something similar and got given hardcore antibiotics. Felt better within twelve hours. Your A and E are bastards.

peachgreen · 23/09/2018 00:15

Magnesium sulphate, flannel as hot as you can stand. I feel for you OP, I used to get these loads and they are extremely uncomfortable and make you feel really unwell.

BabyGoatsInPyjamas · 23/09/2018 10:42

Thanks so much everyone

I have antibiotics. I've barely slept all weekend, I'm in bits. Today is DS 4th birthday and I'm doing the brave face whilst hobbling about the house thing

Absolutely miserable

I have been a bit run down recently, maybe it's related

I've had to resort to a jug when I pee because I can't even touch the area with toilet roll Sad

Betsy86 · 24/09/2018 20:47

Oh no sorry to hear your still in pain op :( i know it hurts but have you tried the hot flannel/bath and squeezing it again yourself. Was the only way mine go away really hurts but the relief once done was amazing x

welshmist · 24/09/2018 20:50

Hope the antibiotics have kicked in now.

BabyGoatsInPyjamas · 24/09/2018 20:56

Hi 👋🏼

I went to my own GP this morning

I have improved

I'm still sore, and a bit swollen but I can now sit down without wailing like a waily thing

One of the worst experiences of my bloody life my DS was 9lb 10oz

Honestly, shocking carry on

I hope none of you ever go through that

OP posts:
welshmist · 24/09/2018 22:53

Been through it at fifteen, was so embarrassed being raised in a home where you did not talk about things like that. I was run down which is why I think it happened.

Reblerunber · 23/12/2018 17:35

FranAndFern · 23/12/2018 17:40

Reblerunner - not really. You'd be better off speaking to a doctor. Where are you? Can you call NHS direct? Or go to a walk in centre?
