Anybody live in an area that's meant to be hit badly tomorrow? I'm in NI hoping it's not going to be as bad as people are saying... winds picking up already though.

waves to Pass the Mead and Ursaminor

I am going to make a run for it! If I am not back in an hour...wait longer!

Or look out the window as I sail on by!!

Awful about the lady in Galway. Very sad. Very windy where I am a few trees down and the motor way had power lines down and accidents.

That so sad about the lady in Galway.
In Norn Iron at the coast very windy but the sun is shining which is odd.
Haven't been out yet but have to later, a tad wary.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 19/09/2018 11:16

Extremely windy at the moment where I am in Dublin. If anyone is going to Carrickmines retail park be careful, there are wind tunnels between some buildings, I felt very unsteady walking around there.

BrazzleDazzleDay · 19/09/2018 11:17

Had a dentist appt with the dc, seemed quite calm when we left. Was not a fun walk.

Theres a rather temperamental oak tree out front, yet despite the neighbours knowing that theres still 5 cars parked under it covered in branches!

Thats so sad about the galway lady.

GlossyGlossy · 19/09/2018 11:24

Ayrshire coast, blawn a hoolie at the moment and just had a really heavy downpour though it passed quickly. There have been a couple of reports of trees down on local roads too.

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/09/2018 11:27

It's got wild again, couple of trees down in town.
Dd's in Glasgow so I've told her to get home asap because of train disruption

Nicknacky · 19/09/2018 11:27

glossy where on Ayrshire coast are you?

Blizy · 19/09/2018 11:30

I'm in the central belt and it's all gone off now!

Auntieobem · 19/09/2018 11:35

How long is it to last for?

BrazzleDazzleDay · 19/09/2018 12:07

Broken into late evening i think, our council(Borders) not long ago issued a warning that its still to peak.

Yoksha · 19/09/2018 12:43

NW England here. Getting quite violent now. Expecting fences to blow in. Just put neighbou's bins up their drive. Their hanging baskets and pots blowing all over the shop. Just piled everything behind a large bush in their front. Job done.

Earlier this year we cut 10 huge (between 85-90 ft, 50 yrs old) Douglas type pines down at the bottom of our garden. We didn't plant them. I bet all our surrounding neighbours are glad with this wind? It was possibly a 'car crash' waiting to happen.

So sad about the death of the lady in the caravan.Flowers

Onesmallstepforaman · 19/09/2018 12:47

Only a bit breezy in York.

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/09/2018 12:49

There's no trains here and all the roads out are currently blocked by trees.
Dd is stuck in Glasgow for now.

Sisgal · 19/09/2018 12:49

North East Scotland windy as fuck here. Want to put my jammies back on and hide under my duvet

QforCucumber · 19/09/2018 12:56

NE England, almost coast - been for a walk, and won't be going again in hurry. Getting darker by the minute too.

Gardai · 19/09/2018 13:08

Lots of trees down and road closures in and around belfast, so public transport will be affected.
Looks like I'm staying put today.

PinkCalluna · 19/09/2018 13:35

Central Scotland.

Trees down already and garden furniture whirling round the garden (now rescued and hauled into the garage)

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/09/2018 13:57

Dd's staying at her boyfriend's in Glasgow as no trains until tomorrow

Ursaminor · 19/09/2018 14:29

Waves to @MsHomeSlice. Hope you got back ok! Reports of trees down on the main roads near here - but we have blue sky and sunshine in our own wee micro climate!

Dowser · 19/09/2018 15:13

Weirdly sunny and warm on n e coast
Looking at the spray and white caps on North Sea
Quite a few large branches down... no trees yet

Gilead · 19/09/2018 15:18

North East UK, all fences are down!

CluedoAddict · 19/09/2018 15:20

My neighbours trampoline has blown into the front garden from their back garden. The wheelie bins are blowing everywhere.

Yoksha · 19/09/2018 15:22

NW here again. Wheelie bins, empty, being blown up and down street. Some of my back garden fence panels (6') smashed to drift wood. Meh!!
