I can furtively offer Huw Edwards and Peter Capaldi in the older man crush department. I have no explanation or excuse for Huw's inclusion, tbh.

RiverTam · 14/09/2018 19:00

If you’re after an older man you can’t go wrong with Mads Mikkleson.

Otherwise Lee Pace is my top crush.

LittleBookofCalm · 14/09/2018 19:08

Always liked Jeff Goldblum

Or there’s always lovely Iain Glen from Game of Thrones. I’ve just been listening to him in a radio drama and his voice made a character of 19th century literature not normally seen as a sex symbol (Dr Thorne) into a full on hottie.

IPlayer Radio also a reliable source of Julian Rhind-Tutt and Rufus Sewell goodness.

LittleBookofCalm · 14/09/2018 19:14

i do like Louis Theroux

Iain Glen is pure magnificence.

Oh my goodness OP - I have almost exactly the same taste as you. From Julian Rhind Tutt via Hugh Grant all the way to Jeff Goldblum (my absolute favourite). Never understood the Colin Firth thing though.

WildCherryBlossom · 14/09/2018 22:30

Oh yes, Louis Theroux is gorgeous too.

I think there is something very appealing about a slightly geeky cerebral bloke.

Can't find myself interested in muscle bound Chris Hemsworth types

MinaPaws · 14/09/2018 22:32

Jeff Goldblum is delicious.

madeoficecream · 14/09/2018 22:32

Im enjoying Tom Hiddleston at the moment... despite everything... Im liking the facial hair!

I also think you can never beat a bit of Daniel Day Lewis whatever his age! Ditto Ralph Fiennes!

TheQueenSnortsAvocados · 14/09/2018 22:43

Doesn't fit the criteria, but the NY Times magazine interview with Riz Ahmed has sealed it for me. Twas about time I moved on from Marat Safin anyway.

EvilRingahBitch · 14/09/2018 22:44

The major advantage of fancying Mark Carney is that incredibly depressing/dull Brexit economics stories on the news become much more uplifting.

LittleBookofCalm · 14/09/2018 22:53

Robert Preston anyone?

OP posts:
LittleBookofCalm · 14/09/2018 22:54

Dam auto correct, Robert peston

Yes Blush

WildCherryBlossom · 14/09/2018 22:56

And Bill Nighy too, forgot to say him earlier.

Eatmycheese · 14/09/2018 23:02

Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn in LOTR

I can’t think straight when I watch him in the films. I saw him once in real life when I was pregnant and ran screaming in the opposite direction. I blame the hormones for making me run away i really wanted to abduct him

LittleBookofCalm · 14/09/2018 23:16

Wild cherry our tastes are the same, I feel better now Grin

FaithInfinity · 14/09/2018 23:24

@eatmycheese I feel exactly the same about Viggo Mortensen. Thigh rubbingly gorgeous in LOTR. Otherwise run screaming in the opposite direction!

My more traditional crushes include Aiden Turner, Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth (really enjoyed Rush). Slightly more obscure but I had a massive crush on Santino Fontana in Crazy Ex-girlfriend (on Netflix). Maybe it’s the singing...Hmm

FaithInfinity · 14/09/2018 23:27

Just realised you wanted to abduct him eatmycheese...I’m more just about the running away but when he’s blonde! Blush

ChateauRouge · 15/09/2018 08:42

Arf @ viggo. Yes- only works as Aragorn for me too.
Ditto Benedict Cumberbatch- Sherlock I would leave DH for, Dr Strange (or pretty much any other part he's played) erm, no thanks!

ChateauRouge · 15/09/2018 08:44

Mmmm Mads Mikkelsen or his brother....

POPholditdown · 15/09/2018 08:52
