Things I never learned how to do.......

Bleach white clothes to get rid of stains. Any tips? Do I just stick Domestos in the washing machine? It's just something I've never learned how to do. And now I have a child in primary school who has to wear white shirts.

Anybody else got things they've never learned to do? Maybe we can share advice.

No, not the little bit you use just for whites. Most cleaning agents contain bleach anyway including detergents and white stain removing powder.

If I have a stubborn stain on a white item I mix some soap power with hot water in a bowl or bucket, stir in a little bleach and put the item in to soak.

Someone I know uses bleach to clean the machine, just puts a bit in the soap dispenser and starts a long hot wash cycle. She does that once a fortnight and it keeps the machine pristine. I've started doing it occasionally too, previously I bought a specialist washing machine cleaner but there's no need.
