Who Makes Up Your Family?

Love your anti-fashion fashion Joanne, especially the nose in a book and stompy boots look!

Here's more on independent booksellers, this time in the Borders...

I had an interview today, so it made sense to blog about interview questions for prospective parents, so I did, hopefully humorously.

A question of children

daisymama · 20/06/2012 18:40

I was inspired to write this post after a conversation on a mumsnet forum and reading a blog post by another special needs parent, relieved that his child "just" had downs syndrome. It's all about antenatal testing and the choices we now have to make and our own experience

I am re-posting this blog (the first time the link failed) with a fair amount of trepidation and am hoping it is firstly, posted in the correct place and secondly, it is received more kindly than the last time I posted something!!

Franklin D Roosevelt once said, ?The test of our progress is not whether we add to the abundance of those who have much. It is whether we provide enough for those who have little?

Funny the stuff you learn while blogging - I was interviewing a bookshop as part of our Olympics Bookshop Hop and it turned out they are responsible for discovering all those ubiquitous 'Keep calm and carry on' posters - they're campaigning to stop it being trademarked now - I've mentioned it on today's blog here.

Thank you staranise

I am having a busy blogging week. The Horrible Histories giveaway is here, and we're doing another one on the blog I write with my daughter over here. Neither of them has had a massive amount of entries so far, so it's worth a go if you like HH.

I'm also hosting a guest post from another blogger which is a really fantastic, funny, sweary rant on the topic of yummy mummies. Not sure how to follow that really, I don't rant half so well as my guest. Might take next week off.

RecipeJunkie · 21/06/2012 21:28

Joanne - none of your pages loaded properly...

DillyTante · 21/06/2012 22:14

Hi all, hope you are all doing well. This week I have posted a couple of psychology and mental well being posts:

The race that isn't worth winning
and
Learning to live in the moment

I don't iron. Ever. I do like burning things. So why are chemistry sets "boys" toys?
