Oh yes Reepham is excellent. We used to do French exchange with them. I know a couple of teachers at Neatherd. Certainly not what you'd think of as an undesirable school I think, although I haven't taught there.

Aw, quail, how cute - FIL used to have an aviary, the budgies and canaries creeped me out, but the quail were adorable.

dontcall if I win this battle you can come and stay Grin
I have a feeling I wont though

dh has just said that sil said (he said she said) that neatherd 'had had issues there' but apparently she hadn't said what.

This all comes from a family who all went to (3 different) public schools so I feel like I actually know a little more than they do about what to look for

I can tell you my experience - secondary is more important as in priomarty you as a parent have more say in how your kids work, their ethos, punctuality, yo ucan help them much more at this stage

so my oppinion is - choose one where theres access to better secondary education
I would not laugh - we moved here for sewcondary schools when my dd was 6 months old :)
now sie is in y7 :)

Go for the best school you can find. You can always move house, but your children can't get those years back.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 04/09/2010 18:07

Have you been to the schools? Can you visit it both, we went to an outstanding one whichleft me slightly cold, good is still good.

Second house is nicer.
