Too old for paw patrol?

DD who will be six just before Christmas has asked for the paw patroller (the lorry thing that fits all the vehicle in). She has the lookout tower and the pups and vehicles that she asked for last year but I was a bit surprised about this one.
Does anyone else have a 6 or older child still enjoying paw patrol?
I'm tempted to get it for her if it is really what she wants but other views would be helpful

My son still liked that kind of thing at 6 but has grown out of it now at 7
legalseagull · 27/09/2019 11:34
I was expecting to see a post about a 12 year old! 6 is so young! Sounds like a great toy
Onlyonce · 27/09/2019 11:35
Thanks Joxter. Do you think its still worth it then? Should add I have a dd who is 2 so it would keep for her in the longer term I suppose. Does it fit the standard vehicles in?
Onlyonce · 27/09/2019 11:37
Thanks legalseagull. In a way I'm pleased she is still enjoying paw patrol.

My dd is seven and likes paw patrol. She did didn't ask any paw patrol stuff but enjoys tv programs.
TeuchterTraveller · 27/09/2019 12:58
My 7 yr old DS is still obsessed and plays with all his PP toys every day. But his friends are growing out of it.
CairParavel · 27/09/2019 13:02
My 6 year old still enjoys PP, plays it enthusiastically with her younger sibling.
Stompythedinosaur · 27/09/2019 20:52
My 6yo likes and wears her paw patrol t-shirt. My 8yo will watch paw patrol but wouldn't want to be seen by her friends watching it.
I think it is fine at 6 but they will probably grow out of it in the next year.

Sorry, being very honest, that Paw Patroller truck is sh*t. We spent £70 on it when it first came out and it's a heap of junk. The lid doesn't open/close properly (badly designed), there is definitely a YT video showing this fault.
My DS never used it and it just cluttered up his room until we got rid of it.
My DS is also nearly 6 and he stopped watching it about a year ago. He's switched onto Lego and Pokemon cartoons so may not be long for you.

Thank you everyone. I asked her for what she would like for her birthday and Christmas properly this evening and it was on her list so it does seem like she would really like it. If it keeps her happy for a year I don't mind too much. She doesn't really get new stuff during the year and her birthday is just a few weeks before Christmas

Enjoy the fact they like Paw Patrol. 6 isn’t too old....
Onlyonce · 27/09/2019 21:41
She also wants the Playmobil zoo set
SweetPeaPods · 27/09/2019 21:42
Ds1 is nearly 7 and has asked for loads more paw patrol toys for Christmas. I was thinking the same thing but thankfully his younger brother will also get the benefit of playing with them
Breastfeedingworries · 27/09/2019 21:45
Find it on Facebook market place second hand I found one for £25. Then if she’s not playing with it long you’ve not lost out on 70!
Breastfeedingworries · 27/09/2019 21:47
In fact play mobile is good on market place too!
Lot for £50! Why people buy all this plastic crap New is beyond me. 😂

Breastfeedingworries · 27/09/2019 21:49

Breastfeedingworries · 27/09/2019 21:49
Oops I wanted to remove one with her details! Delete please admin! I might go to bed 😂🙈
danni0509 · 27/09/2019 21:50
Ds is nearly 6 and wants some peppa pig bits!
Onlyonce · 27/09/2019 23:53
I feel very reassured. Thank you everyone. I have reserved one at Argos but will check second hand options too especially for the zoo as cheapest new one is nearly £70
Equimum · 28/09/2019 09:06
I’d buy it if she’s still into it. If you are reluctant to spend so much on something she may not play with for OMG, there are lots of second-hand ones about.
Equimum · 28/09/2019 09:07
Not OMG *long!
Rugratsfan12 · 19/10/2021 22:33
I am 15 and love paw patrol
Equimum · 20/10/2021 07:58
My six year old has only just got into Paw Patrol. My 8 year old will also happily watch it when he chooses it.
Lockdownbear · 21/10/2021 07:31
