Working in a very multicultural secondary school in London

What does the role entail? My DC's secondary school doesn't have a Welfare Officer and it is a large comprehensive.

Are you employed by the school or by the local authority?

What are some of the common issues in which you are involved?

Usually dealing with injuries, children feeling unwell, or mental health issues: mostly SEN children

Local authority

Generally dealing with cuts and grazes, vomiting etc. admin i.e care plans for diabetic children, overseeing inclusion for medical needs children
