Ask me anything.

It may help me process it.

What meaningful relationships do you have in your life? What do you love to do for hobbies?

Are you ok?

urghhh47 · 02/07/2023 19:54

why is it your last chance?

TappingTed · 02/07/2023 19:54

I’m sorry to hear this. No questions though, just sending genuine care to you.

S4uk · 02/07/2023 19:56

I’m also 42. And adopting.
and single… and live with my parents.
xx

GeriatricMumma · 02/07/2023 19:57

@Lemonnhoney
I have three older children and an amazing husband and great friends to support me.

Thought I was ok today, but now I'm not.

@urghhh47
Unplanned baby, was always a risk as I've had 3 C-sections, my husband will never agree to doing this again

@TappingTed thank you x

@S4uk sounds like you have support from
your parents which is amazing! This will be one lucky baby

I’m really sorry to hear that. Does your partner find it equally difficult to process? And are you able to get support of friends and family?

GeriatricMumma · 02/07/2023 20:00

@BestServedChilled he's trying to be supportive but his response is that it is for the best as I've had 3 C-sections and this was always going to be risky

Lots of support around me but also feeling very alone

Give yourself time - i say this as someone who has been where you are (same age too). i went on to have another 2 mc's and then a baby. Give yourself lots of time xxx

GeriatricMumma · 02/07/2023 20:07

@urghhh47 thank you, I'll not be having any more now sadly.

I've accepted that it just isn't right and I'm very fortunate to have three children already.

I just feel like it's so final.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. I can't offer any practical advice as anything I can think of sounds trite. I would just say don't try to fast forward through the feelings, that won't work. But know that in six months it will get easier, you will be in a different phase of life and you will manage

I am so sorry, I lost a baby at 42 as well. How far gone were you into your pregnancy?

theDudesmummy · 02/07/2023 20:45

I had 2 miscarriages the year I turned 43. Had my baby at 45. Are you sure this is your last chance?

Abreezeintheglade · 02/07/2023 20:50

I don’t want to ask anything but wanted to add my condolences. I’ve lost a child and I think about them every day. Cuddle your husband and kids.

Sendmymillioninaninvoice · 02/07/2023 20:57

I am sorry OP.❤️ Nothing to ask only to say I understand.

I am pregnant but the pregnancy isn't progressing as it should so won't be viable.

Yes - unplanned and very happy accident but no chance it'll happen again now as I can't go through this again

@GeriatricMumma have you had bloods taken for your HCG levels? Is that what is making you believe you're loosing this baby? Xx

I had a scan yesterday and the sac has grown without an embryo. The HCG levels are high as my body still thinks it's pregnant, so sadly I will need to wait (I have another scan in ten days). I am 2mm off being declared a blighted ovum but that's what it is z
