Can't they have a blood test to test for Klinefelters and put your mind at rest?

After puberty when everything normalises they can. They are not keen to do it till then

He's 16 months so it's all a very long way off still. Just get a bit sad when I remember about it. We have had genetic counselling which advised us on how to talk about the subject with him when it comes up, so that's been helpful.

Oh bless him! At least you know early for when he hits puberty so he can get testosterone treatment if he needs it. If you want any great detail about what to do feel free to message me xx

I'm gobsmacked you are ok with him having unprotected sex. What about std? I hope he feels ok about everything now that the sperm is successfully banked. He will be able to have children using IVF, like lots of people. Will they have to do sperm selection as well?

This is one of the weirdest things I’ve read on here. How is the sex life of an adult an activity for their parents to be “ok” or not about?

@Floomobal That was NEVER the intention of this threat 👀

Does your son ever talk to others with the same syndrome? I can imagine it’s a lot to take on as a teenager.

I know! There are always some weirdos around ready to be outraged about something wildly missing the point 😂

My best friend found out he was infertile at 32, when trying for a baby. He was born with no vas deferens, so although the sperm was ok, there was no chance of conception being physically possible. Him and his wife had IVF and they have 2 children now.

It’s a big blow for someone, but the technology and medical intervention seems to be improving all the time. I hope things all work out for your son.

Does he need testosterone? Did his voice break?

BiscuitLover3678 · 18/10/2022 23:07

I hope he’s ok op. Do you know how common it is?

so does that mean if he has some sperm frozen then some of it could be used?
