Spirit guides are a deception. Whatever forces are at play in giving the reader intuitive information are not from good, loving sources, as much as they pretend to be. I was very sceptical of this until I went into a serious spiral of depression, obsessive thoughts and other incredibly negative experiences while engaging in divination practices. Horrendous nightmares. 'Something' started taunting my parents in their home around this time. I was also using Doreen Virtue's angel cards to communicate with 'angels' and read all of her stuff to do with contacting guides etc.
I started realising the cards were the problem and threw them away. Then I started reading the Bible and realised I had been playing with fire. Around this time, Doreen Virtue wrote on her social media that she had been deceived and she too realised that all of her material had been demonically inspired, but she thought at the time that it had all been angelic, and from 'love and light'. She renounced everything, got sacked by her publisher, went bankrupt as she got dropped by everyone as she stopped touring and writing books about how to communicate with the spirit realm. That was confirmation from me.
I became a Christian, just like Doreen at around the same time and wouldn't touch tarot now. I get the appeal of using it but I think it's dangerous. You wouldn't let any human that you don't know into your house, so I find it disconcerting when people have an open door policy to the spiritual world. Often they thibk that if they have good intentions, or surround themselves with a loving white light, then they are protected, but they arent.
It says in scripture that the devil himself masquerades as an angel of light, and that is my experience. I know this view is offensive and/or hilarious hilarious many. I was that person once.
Anyway, I won't derail the thread anymore. Was just answering your question.
Bowing out now.
