Well, almost anything... I am not unwilling to do a few readings, but might not have the time to do lots. I'm interested in other kinds of discussion around Tarot.

What would help my DD hate school less? As in how can I help her endure it better and with less anxiety?

Genuinely interested in what the cards say.

But the other night I had a really vivid dream where I was told by some sort of reader that our current cycle of IVF wouldn’t work and it’s really stayed with me. I’m sure it’s me just being worried.

I know that feeling well Flowers. I think your observation is a very good one. It's made me realise that Tarot interpretation is very much like dream interpretation done by psychotherapists. For me, your dream seems like it's your body processing natural anxiety and stresses associated with what's going on for you. I would be asking you, "how can you look after yourself during this stressful time? What do you need?".

(This is what your dream means for me. I don't interpret it as predicting the future outcome of your IVF).

Do you charge people for it?

ElevenOG · 07/09/2022 10:13

This has inspired me to get my tarot deck out and dust it off!

greenleafyleaves · 07/09/2022 10:15

I've done (amateur) tarot readings for friends and they have turned out to be uncannily accurate! The readings have led to hours of interesting chats about life and relationships. It's fascinating stuff!

Yes, I think that pretty much sums up the positives for me too! I love listening to people. It's a privilege and gets to the heart of what it means to be human in my opinion.

I'm also someone who likes learning about new stuff. I like learning and memorising the meanings of the cards. I like the structure and patterns in the cards too.

You're welcome @wishingchair1 and thank you for the feedback. I can definitely see how the weight of responsibility would make it hard for you to think creatively.

This bit gave me pause for thought, "However other roles have come up that other people have said would be ideal." What do you think about these roles?

Do you charge people for it? Yes, I do Read for payment.

This has inspired me to get my tarot deck out and dust it off! That's good to hear. What deck do you have?

Is there any point in carrying on with a relationship I have just started?

Thank you :)

CockingASnook · 07/09/2022 10:22

Do you ever feel anxious or guilty that people may make big decisions based on something that clearly isn’t based in truth or reality?

(I do get your comment about seeing tarot as a tool or prompt for talking or thinking about a specific topic - which I agree is useful.)

Aerish · 07/09/2022 10:22

I feel silly now haha x

YelloCar · 07/09/2022 10:22

Thank you @greenleafyleaves Flowers

Mammma91 · 07/09/2022 10:23

Will I pass my driving test second attempt on Friday?

greenleafyleaves · 07/09/2022 10:23

(I just want to acknowledge that a few people have asked for readings. I hear that you are going through some difficult and worrying times and hope that you find some comfort or certainty today even if I don't do a reading for you).

Will I enjoy my upcoming holiday?

greenleafyleaves · 07/09/2022 10:28

Do you ever feel anxious or guilty that people may make big decisions based on something that clearly isn’t based in truth or reality?

Yes, I worry about this a lot. I can't think of a serious or sensitive or important issue that somebody hasn't brought to me. As I say, I don't believe that Tarot cards can answer questions like this so I would explain my beliefs, and suggest they reframe the question.

Can anyone learn to do it? Has anything really strange happened in a reading?

greenleafyleaves · 07/09/2022 10:31

So to clarify @CockingASnook whilst I worry about it, I don't think I have done anything I feel guilty of. It's the main reason I start by grounding myself with a loving intention. May I do no harm.

I can only think of one woman who became angry because I wouldn't answer her question though.

What career am I meant to pursue?

greenleafyleaves · 07/09/2022 10:34

Can anyone learn to do it? Has anything really strange happened in a reading?

Yes, I think so. I think it takes three things. Firstly, learning the meanings of each card (there are 78 in a traditional deck and that's all I have ever worked with). Secondly, reflecting and journaling on these so that you're own interpretation of each card, each suit, each recurring imagery etc. evolves. Thirdly, practice.

Learning the Tarot fascinates me and I would love to teach it.

I don't read at all but I used to collect tarot cards because I liked the artwork.

So just wondering what's your favourite deck? (Mine is Fantastic Menagerie.)

BrokenRainbow22 · 07/09/2022 10:38

Can you tell me if my ex is going to come back into my life? Thank you

greenleafyleaves · 07/09/2022 10:39

Sorry, I got excited and forgot this, Has anything really strange happened in a reading?

"Strange"? Probably the synergies that can arise. Somebody bringing an issue that I am also working through. (In counselling this is known as "you get the client you need"). Mostly I'm struck by the emotional honesty and connection you can feel with a complete stranger. Reading gives me a lot of faith in people and our common humanity.

So just wondering what's your favourite deck?

I like variations on the Rider Waite Smith and I love the Light Seer deck. If I'm using one that doesn't really connect I give it away. Conversely, I saw a deck online about 20 years ago that I loved and I've been looking for it ever since. I think it was a bespoke one-off creation though.

I've just looked yours up. I like the style - reminds me of 19th Century newspaper illustrations.

Will my son ever sort out his finances and get to buy a house that he desperately needs. It will change his families life and I want to see him happy and settled while I’m still alive.

1000yellowdaisies · 07/09/2022 10:48

You seem very reasonable since you touched on confirmation bias and coincidence in your above posts....
genuine question, do you believe you can see the future via tarot cards? And if so how does it work?
I am generally of the view that psychics, mediums etc are scam artists who prey mostly on the vulnerable i.e. the bereaved, people who are lost but i am interested in your opinion since were all here anonymously and no ones paying you for anything
