Well, almost anything... I am not unwilling to do a few readings, but might not have the time to do lots. I'm interested in other kinds of discussion around Tarot.

Interesting topic. Have you ever tried seeing what happens if you repeat the same question to the deck for the same person in a very short space of time, like say, 2 minutes later?

How long did it take you to learn? I signed up for a home study course but haven't started yet. Would love to be able to do this.

Also do you read for yourself? Do you find it helpful if you do?

genuine question, do you believe you can see the future via tarot cards? And if so how does it work?

This is the view I've formed. I think the cards can show us a potential future. I don't think that they can predict the future though, because I believe more in human agency.

For example, if you ask, "will I ever get in to university?" If the cards say 'yes' and I tell you this, then you might stop doing the exact behaviours that would have got you in to uni. Does that make sense?
So instead I would ask, "what do I need to do to best increase my chances of getting in to uni?". And one person might get something about studying hard of course, but the next person might get something about self-belief or managing exam stress or looking for support from friends etc.

I had my cards read years ago. To be honest it has upset me and still does today.
She was scarily accurate on most things but didnt mention DD2 at all, I was told all about DD1 and DS and their futures and careers ( spot on) but it was as if DD2 didnt exist.
I worry that she saw something she didnt want to reveal
Could this be the case??

I am generally of the view that psychics, mediums etc are scam artists who prey mostly on the vulnerable i.e. the bereaved, people who are lost but i am interested in your opinion since were all here anonymously and no ones paying you for anything

I agree with you. I see and hear about a lot of exploitation of people at our most vulnerable times.
Something that gave me pause for thought was from a relative whose son died tragically young. She's a complete sceptic and doesn't get Readings. However, an acquaintance of hers got one from a "psychic" who described the dead man's appearance, who his mum was and a message to pass on to her. It brought her a lot of comfort, even though she couldn't explain it.

I can see that I could make a lot of money by 'passing on' soothing messages.

May I ask a question? I am going to go through a big life change soon. Is it possible to ask the cards about the timeframe of this and possible outcome?

I have cards which I read for myself and I agree when you say they show possibilities rather than actually telling the future.

Yes, I'm happy to clarify a reading. I find it generally pointless, the cards just 'double-down' on what they said earlier. I just explain to the person, "look, we can ask as often as we like, but we're going to keep getting the same answer" Smile

Others would disagree, but I think this is their best use personally. Why might it be a "no-no" do you think?

Are you able to tell whether my recent job change is likely a long term or short term move please? It’s taking a while to settle and I’m torn whether it was the right move. (Also, specific question alert 🚨 will I ever be able to lose the weight / feel better about myself please?) 🙂
