I teach Year 1 and this is my first year teaching. I really enjoy reading the education threads on here from parents so just wanted to offer the other side of the story for anyone interested.

Start focusing on applying this knowledge of Number. Problem solve using multiplication, division, mental maths strategies, simple equations, move to time, money, data. Get confident in all aspects of maths not just number systems.

I'm not sure if this was a comment to me or to another poster? But my children work on most of these things aside from data.
