I’m 5e recipient of a donor organ from a stranger. AMA

Why no grapefruit or waxing hair? And what is it about transplants that makes you more prone to food poisoning?

Would you want to work within the nhs in a transplant role? I had cancer as a young adult and then retrained as a nurse, I trained with the idea of a specific role in my mind, but don’t do anything like that job now.
Were you scared before the transplant?
Were you excited? Did you feel guilt?
Would you meet the family if they wanted to meet you?
Do you think about it often?
