Oooh how did you lose the weight, and how long did it take you? Looking for inspiration here!

Crappyfridays7 · 01/07/2021 08:00

First of all well done on that loss, amazing!!

What was your motivation? What kept you going? What did you eat when you were hungry? I find I am good for a while then give in to binge and I’m miserable.

Thanks for answering! I’ve lost 5 stone through doing exante but it was definitely a mind thing rather than a physical one. It took having a family and realising they needed and deserved the best version of me. Still got 2 and a half left to go.

This was me. I kept starting, sticking to it, then caving.

It was ridiculous. I remember this day in 2019. Monday 1st July - I thought it was ‘my’ day for sorting my life out. Ha.

I had an accidental head start as I lost my appetite completely after Christmas and when it came back I’d lost some weight so decided to keep going!

Well done op !
Was your GP helpful at all ? At 3 stone overweight mine prescribed a 3 month subsidised leisure centre pass.

No, which is annoying as I was repeatedly told throughout my pregnancy that I was an obese geriatric mother!

How did you find doing Exante?
Any advice ?
Well done op !!

Initially it was fine. As things have opened it’s got a bit harder as socialising is difficult. I really want to get to under 10 stone, though.

What’s the biggest benefit you’ve noticed since losing the weight?

DinosaurDiana · 01/07/2021 08:56

What did you eat when you were starving but it wasn’t a meal time ?

fat13 · 01/07/2021 09:08

kanaloa I’m hard pushed to think of an area of life that isn’t better now. But as for best I’d say it has to be clothes which I know is impossibly shallow but I used to live in size 22 cheap trousers from primark and huge black tops in size 22/24 from places like Asda and Tesco. I am NOT saying anything is wrong with these but my choice was so limited and everything looked so awful.

dinosaur the big challenge was I just didn’t. I don’t think I’ve ever been starving really. Plus I have a very young child who takes up a lot of time! So go for walks etc as distraction!

Yes I thought it would be clothes! The limited choice for bigger people is hard, I know when I’ve gained weight I struggle in summer to find comfortable clothes that don’t look awful on me.

fat13 · 01/07/2021 10:03

I have a vivid memory of last summer, I had no clothes. Just leggings and t shirts, George from Asda black and white. That was it. I also gave up wearing bras as I found them so painful. I love having nice underwear now!
