God it’s boring isn’t it. We had to isolate when I tested +ve just after having my first vaccination. I was completely asymptomatic, nobody else in the household was ill, so it was like a very cushy version of house arrest.

We did do the 1000 piece jigsaw we’d failed at twice early in lockdown, and even managed a friends horrible 1000 piece one without a picture to guide you.

I also discovered Fiit on the telly (free trial with Sky) and started exercising so not all bad.

What are you having for breakfast?

Great Q Easter Grin I'm not having breakfast (16/8 fasting). DD is having toast and fruit and DH is asleep!

How is he?

He's been very lucky and isn't too bad tbh. He's described it as a really bad cold. He's coughing occasionally and is very tired. The worst of it he says is feeling wiped out and the sinus pain.

How are you all?

DH is ok, fed up and tired. DD and I are fine tbh, no symptoms and both tested negative. Have to do another test today before our isolation ends tomorrow. I can't wait for freedom!

Does he know how he caught it?

DH is a primary teacher and caught it from school. He doesn't go anywhere else to catch it from. One other member of staff has tested positive after my husband. It's been a fantastic Easter break for us 🙄 Not! 🤦🏼‍♀️

We're ok thanks for asking! Honestly, we've not made the effort to isolate. We live in a tiny house with one bathroom. We have avoided as much physical contact as possible but we share a bed and I hugged him when he got upset.

We are on day 5 of self isolation, how many days are you in?

We're on day 9! Our last day is tomorrow but annoyingly, we have to wait for a call from test and trace on the Monday to officially confirm the end of isolation before we can leave the house!

Has your DH had a vaccine?
No none of us have been vaccinated yet (late 20s, no health conditions)

Have you got DCs?
Just the one!

Yes he's been poorly but no dressing gown! He's been very good tbf!

That’s interesting @NotAGreatGamer I’ve had a text telling me when my self isolating ends but nothing about waiting for a call.

Are you doing LFTs?

How come you have to wait for test & trace to tell you to leave isolation.
My understanding is as long as you have no symptoms you can end isolation after 10 days. If someone else has symptoms then have to do 10 days from when symptoms starts .
I’m on my 2nd isolation.

I'm in Wales, so don't know if that makes a difference?

DH was for doing LFTs for school anyway which is how we knew he had covid before confirming it with a 'proper' test.

It sucks doesnt it. Im a teacher. Caught it on the last day of december term and household isolation ended the day before we went back to school Envy - not envy...

Honestly, just being able to walk our dog or pop to the shop when we run out of bread! I'm quite looking forward to seeing some family too Grin

DD is totally fine health wise but was obviously devastated about having to stay home for longer Sad

I've started to lose my smell and taste. I can only smell really strong things such as coffee. Have been sniffing at things all evening! It's very bizarre. Confused

Courage! I am also a teacher and out of my team of 5, 4 of us caught it in January. It was an interesting few weeks!

I hope your DH feels better soon.

FWIW, we did isolate and then 8 days after our isolation ended, DH tested positive, and we had to go back into isolation...
I had it the worst in terms of symptoms but even now we are both much more tired than we would normally be.

Hopefully we will be back to normal soon!
