DD isn’t big. Look at the bra interventions. It’s only thought of as big because of page 3 models. But they are unlikely to have been a DD. It’s all relative to your band size.

Carpballs · 18/06/2020 21:11

Yes, it is relevant to your band size :)

But going from a 30AAA to a 30DD (my measurement post op once all settled) is a huge boost and now 12 years on, with time against me, I'm a 32C and I wouldn't change it for the world, they look natural and in proportion with my body.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 18/06/2020 21:19

That’s really fantastic. Well done.

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 18/06/2020 21:19

I'd love to get mine done. Been a rough time lately and after 3 kids and breastfeeding and fluctuating weight I have big boobs but low boobs. Like extremely low.
I'm jealous op lol

How do you find a reputable clinic and trust the surgeon?

WotsitWiggle · 18/06/2020 21:22

How much time did you have off work?

Did you tell friends / family / colleagues or did they guess?

Did you have to replace all your tops / dresses?

What do you wish you'd known beforehand?

Mumoblue · 18/06/2020 21:30

Have you heard of "Breast Implant Illness", and do you think it's a real thing?

I saw it in the news a while ago, and I know there's been some dispute over it.

How much time did you have off work?
Just a week I work in a office so could get away with it I would have liked more time off but told colleagues I was visiting family
Did you tell friends / family / colleagues or did they guess? I told some friends and family not all
Did you have to replace all your tops / dresses? Not really most of my dresses and tops were stretchy cotton material

What do you wish you'd known beforehand?
To go one size up as everyone else in the forum recommended but at the time 375cc seemed so big already

Have you heard of "Breast Implant Illness", and do you think it's a real thing ? No what’s that

Hi OP My sister had hers done and said when the tube was removed after was the most painful part which is putting me off getting mine done do u think it was painful? X

SimonJT · 20/06/2020 23:09

If you have a daughter how will you teach her to love her body if you enhanced yours to like your own body more? I for example wanted a nose job for a long time, my son has a similar nose to me and his grandad (in family adoption, so I am biologically relates to him), but if I did it I couldn’t then encourage him to love his nose.

I didn’t get tubes in or removed must be different ways to do it I didn’t have to remove stitches either

I don’t have any kids yet so I don’t know but if it’s made me this happy and if they wanted it done I’d be supportive

Did you consider whether it might impact breastfeeding in future if you have children?

porridgeface · 21/06/2020 01:29

@Misstomrs2016 I had the tubes you are talking about. They're just drains which are meant to help with swelling, not every surgeon uses them. It wasn't pleasant having them out but more because of the odd sensation rather than pain for me. It was over very quickly though.

AwwDontGo · 21/06/2020 11:05

Can you feel that you have something in your boobs that’s not you? My boobs are very sensitive - in a good way! I’d worry they might not feel like me anymore.

Misstomrs2016 · 26/06/2020 20:56

Yeh@porridgeface that’s what my sister had it just sounded horrible when she was telling me so I’ve put it off for years am considering it now I know there are different options thanks Smile

TheTigerQueen · 26/06/2020 21:06

I had also had a boob job although 10 years ago £4500! I absolutely love my 34E boobs now. I was a small 32b before I had them done. The only downside for me is I didnt factor in that not all clothes are suitable for bigger boobs and sometimes feels like a big shelf, high necks arent a great look anymore, its difficult getting a dress or bikini to fit well if your boobs are a size 14 and your bottom half is a 10. And thin strappy tops/dresses are not great if you dont want everyone to see your nipples because bras have massive straps and dont hide well.
Other than that I feel sexier in myself with them and i dont really show them off much.

For the first 2 years after I got mine done once or twice a year when I'd come off a boiling train and it was snowing outside I could feel the implant with my boob nerves if that makes sense?

Only for a minute or so, not painful just a funny feeling!

Mine are 32e from 32b so just a bit fuller but not crazy big. I got them done because I fancied it and am pleased I did. Didnt "need" to but prefer the look, I'm going to explain it like that to my DD.
