7kids. You can't give them all the love and support they need. Only a bit here and there. You will also have to rely on the older kids to help with the younger ones. Do you ever feel guilty about not being able to provide them with what they want /would like vs what you can give them. Because of course you can give them all love and support and mh guidance etc but only on a superficial level.never a deep rooted one. In your heart yes, but not in rl.

Why assume her children are maladjusted because she has 7.

Some of us grew up in big families, and suffered from a lack of parental attention, space, resources etc. It's a given that the more children a parent or pair of parents have, the less individual attention the children have. I'm the eldest of my large family, and I wouldn't like to think of other children in my position -- writing my own sicknotes, never having a parent to help with or check homework, not having anywhere to do my homework except lying on my bunk bed, a proxy parent for the youngest ones etc.

I'm the only one of my large sibling group to have had a child, and I have one child by choice.
