Sorry if this has already been done but I’ve had a scroll and couldn’t spot a similar one. Go ahead and ask away.

Are you still able to go food shopping or does it have to be done online? Are the shops well stocked?

Pinkyyy · 18/03/2020 22:19

Is food in short supply?

AmazingGrace16 · 18/03/2020 22:21

What are the best things communities have done to help each other out?

ColdCottage · 18/03/2020 22:22

Which shops are still open?

Can you get hair cuts, eye tests, other medical support such as chiropractors, physios?

Itsnotalwaysfair · 18/03/2020 22:22

Are you and your family physically and mentally coping? I wish you well

And What they said about is there food in the supermarket.

Chesterfuckingdrorrs · 18/03/2020 22:23

How are you....Really?
And were you given notice before lockdown?

Thelittletoasterthatcouldnt · 18/03/2020 22:23

I’ve never food shopped online, I don’t think it’s actually possible where I am. But the local supermarkets are fully stocked. Because we went into lock down quite quickly everyone knew the rules and that we could still shop, it’s really stopped panic buying.

Are people still gardening and if so, how? (I don’t want to stop!!!!)

sequinsandwich · 18/03/2020 22:25

Can you still get deliveries, for example, from amazon

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 18/03/2020 22:25

How are your self employed coping without work/income or are they being supported?

Thelittletoasterthatcouldnt · 18/03/2020 22:25

Dr and chemist are open and our dr is reachable by phone which I know we are very lucky in that regard, but the dentist has shut.

Has any consequence of the lockdown taken you by surprise, if so what and what can you advise us to help when we go into it?

Thelittletoasterthatcouldnt · 18/03/2020 22:27

Yes @TakeANote people are still gardening we’ve been told to adhere to a two meter rule.

Are you at home with kids? How are you coping mentally with the lockdown

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 18/03/2020 22:29

Are neighbours still singing every evening, to maintain spirits?

Stay strong, we stand with all Italians Flowers

Thelittletoasterthatcouldnt · 18/03/2020 22:30

We’re all fine @Chesterfuckingdrorrs thank you for asking. We knew it would happen we weren’t in the first places to go into lockdown but we are not all that far away.

Do you know anyone personally who has become ill and hospitalised?

Are you scared of catching it?

Are you still able to work?

Stabbitha · 18/03/2020 22:32

How does child contact between separated parents work?

Thelittletoasterthatcouldnt · 18/03/2020 22:34

@AdriannaP I have anxiety and spend a lot of time at home anyway, its my safe place and love having my little ones here with me but I have friends who are very outgoing and are struggling. We’re sending each other lots of worksheets and inventive play ideas for the kids.

How long have you been in lockdown now and any sign of how much longer ?
How is the crime during lockdown ?
What about work are people working from home are some still able to go in ?
Do you know of a lot that have symptoms/ diagnosis?
Have you been following the news in other countries is it any different ie are you aware if our panic buying and that the shops are empty currently ?

Thelittletoasterthatcouldnt · 18/03/2020 22:41

@NemophilistRebel Yes someone who works with my husband has tested positive they’re currently testing his family.

I’m more scared for all the lovely older people I know and my husband’s elderly parents who aren’t taking this as seriously as I wish they would.

I am able to work still but I work from home anyway so am very lucky I realise.

NemophilistRebel · 18/03/2020 22:47

How are people who can’t work coping financially?

Do you see an end in sight?

Thelittletoasterthatcouldnt · 18/03/2020 22:53

@ilovecakeandwine 3 and a bit weeks.

I’ve not heard of any crime there’s a heavy police presents on the streets.

An awful lot of work places are now shut there still people going to work that I know but they have to try to adhere to the two meter rule and only drive to and from work or to the shop there has to be a legitimate reason why you’re on the road.

I have family in England and Germany so have been following the news. I think British people need to know the rules that will be in place for lockdown and that will hopefully stop a lot of the panic buying, but I don’t claim to know much or be any kind of authority.

OP posts:
Glassmami · 18/03/2020 22:55

Are those who are unable to work from home still able to go to work?

TheCanterburyWhales · 18/03/2020 22:58

The govt has pushed through a pretty damn good financial package to help people.
(Also in Italy)
There's no crime going on because the criminals are in lockdown as well (obviously)
