No problem @ViveLEntenteCordiale, vey glad you've got it all sorted.

Confinement today was ok, DH had to go to work unexpectedly but luckily we had 17 degree weather, so I threw the windows and doors open and let DS run around the garden. Then left the house to take my recycling bin down to the pavement without an attestation! Rebel!!

Saw in a Facebook group today that if you tick the box saying you're going out for exercise, you're supposed to stay within 500m of your home. So the forest is out for us Blush

@stabbitha Sorry, I have no idea, I'm not in that position so couldn't say for sure.

The government has published a document we have to print out and sign each time we go out, stating our reason for going out, which will be checked by the police patrols. There is a box you can tick saying you're out in order to help with childcare or look after vulnerable people, so I guess you'd have tick that box for handover.

As for self-isolation, I haven't heard all that much about it over here but then the whole country is supposed to be in isolation for 2 weeks, so that's possibly why.

Are the military involved with the lockdown?

mamansnet · 19/03/2020 00:12

@sestras I think they must be. Technically speaking, gendarmes are military police and they'll most likely be doing the patrols outside Paris (in the Paris area we have the police, outside Paris is the gendarmes).

As for having regular soldiers on patrol, I think they might be, yes. DH was out in town today so he'll have seen the patrols. Apparently Paris was eerily quiet.
