I had a Saturday job at Sainsbury's as a teenager in 1980. I thought I'd be on tills but they put me in the butchery dept 
. If the meat or chops etc were a bit green we were told to turn it over and put a new label on. And when making the mince they had bags of crappy stuff to mix in with the meat chunks going through the mince. I'm guessing this doesn't still go on?! or the rampant sexism from managers
