@Selgann yes most (if not all) will restrict client numbers, as otherwise you run the risk of clients overlapping and missing a birth. Regarding conflict with midwives, doulas don’t do anything medical, so I tend to stay out of the way or at the head end during pushing if the MW is guiding pushing. However lots of women don’t want or need instruction to get the baby out, so it’s sometimes a case of guiding breathing etc while the MW quietly watches on.

Would you recommend being a Doula? After my first baby I thought about becoming a midwife but it seemed unrealistic for me.
I would love a job that involves helping people and babies/children xx
