Esperence is one of the most perfect beaches I've ever been to.
Lots of lovely memories are flooding back now!

I absolutely love Australia. Given the UK seems to be having crazy weather these days, I wonder how Oz is being affected (I read on the BBC website that some areas are inhospitable to life in the summer ) and how it will affect people's lives going forward.

been to australia twice and fell in love with it, so jealous!

is the work/life balance really that good?

how did you actually make the decision to leave everyone and everything behind and take the chance? do you feel guilty about the family you left behind? particularly older family members/those that can’t afford to come and see you.

@ItsJustTheOneSwanActually Canada is DP second choice! I said I’m not moving again I can’t take the stress Grin

@IdblowJonSnow definetely need an Esperance trip!!

@atotalshambles yes I think places up north are very very hot. But they are better equipped for heat here with air con etc.

@kwazycupcakes yes the work life balance is really good, my partner can finish at 2, he was on the beach by 2.30 in summer!
It was my partners idea, he planted the seed lol. I miss my family but you can’t feel guilty. I’m giving my own future children a better life and ourselves, that’s what is important and you need to be selfish sometimes. You have to be tough and not let guilt get you!

Why did you move to a country on the other side of the world that you’d never been to before?

PutYourBackIntoit · 22/07/2019 23:08

We get some pretty big garden spiders and it's meant to be mid 30s on Thursday in Gloucestershire, mind!

Pomgirl · 23/07/2019 11:08

@Abhann it was my partners dream, he had been before and loved it. Sometimes you just have to take a chance rather then never know Smile
