@GreyCloud0 Just wanted to add that I was a SEN TA and honestly everyone there loved and cared about the kids. I left over a year ago and still think about and miss them! I would bet really good money the teachers and assistants in your sons class are the same.

Hi! It’s probably a very strange question but I always wondered what books do you use with KS3-KS4 children with learning disabilities (verbal but not Aspergers) for English literature? Thanks

My daughter has just left school (year 11) she was finally identified as having severe learning disability in February this year and awarded a EHCP, I had to fight for 10 years for anyone to listen and pay attention and actually bother to get her assessed by a ed psych, in her cognitive test she couldn't of scored any lower (she got 1 and 2 in everything) all through school I was branded the nightmare parent Hmm

How could she go all through primary and secondary school without anyone noticing how bad it was?

I too have just started working as an LSA with a child who is autistic, luckily we have a great class teacher who worked in a SEN school.
Can be very challenging at times but we get through, Im really enjoying it.
