I'm so pleased for you. I hope you are feeling well and strong. I have 2 questions if that's ok.

Was there a 'final straw'?

Had you attempted to leave before?

Just wanted to say well done for leaving your abuser.

Thank you! I have suffered ever since with severe anxiety and PTSD but soldiering on.

There was, i came home from work and as i laid in the bath my ex was so drunk (it was about 5pm) he had had numerous bottles of wine and he came into the bathroom hurled lots of abuse took some pictures of me naked and crying in the bath. And thats when i thought i have been working all day to come home to this. That is when i knew i deserved so much better. 2 hours later i was sat with a police officer.

I did attempt to leave before but my ex worked out what i was doing so he locked me in the house with no way of getting out until i promised i wouldnt leave him.

We had no children together.
He did have a 7 year old son with his ex wife and he was the main reason why i had to just walk and report as i really didnt want his son to be brought up believeing that kind of relationship & behaviour was normal.
He did how ever use to make comments to his little boy for example ‘dont trust her she lies’ or ‘she doesnt like spending time with us’ it broke my heart.
