I get you!

Waking nights nursing,I worked for 6 months on a night shift, 7.30-7.30, 3 nights on, 3 nights off, and simply reversed my usual behaviour, so home at 7.45am, shoulder of lamb in the oven, glass of wine while I was prepping it and the veg,then shower,pjs, back into the kitchen,more wine while I finished cooking and eating. And then bed...
T'was great (and lucrative) Grin

@straightouttavagina

It’s nice to have some chat after a tough shift. It really sounds like you’re dealing with a real raw side of life which must be hard on you sometimes.
With working shifts do you manage to do many other things like hobbies you enjoy?

aviator sounds fab. There is something slightly liberating about it. Im not that organised. I tend to be wide awake and think ill get on with something productive, then all of a sudden I'll be dead on my feet.

foodenvy I try to but often it does interfere. I like to go to dance classes, or go out to the pub with friends, but usually I'm only free when nobody else is!

OP. Thank you for doing the job you do. I have massive respect for anyone who works in the emergency services.

Ignore the 9AM time. You deserve your vodka.

I really couldn’t do your job. Thank you! Hope you managed to get some nice rest and will be waking up for breakfast soon!

straightouttavagina · 05/01/2019 20:08

Thank you both :)
I had a good rest thank you. Back to it in a couple of hours!

I hear a lot of people (even police officers!) say they couldn't do the job. You maybe underestimate yourselves. :)
