There is so much to wrap! I like procrastinating... ask me absolutely anything!

are you listening to music and drinking wine to make it more fun?

RebelWitchFace · 21/12/2018 20:26

Is the cat sitting on them, getting stuck on the tape and then coming in soaked and drying himself on whatever you previously wrapped?

isitisitwicked · 21/12/2018 20:32

No wine as I'm on a diet Sad I've lost 10 lbs so far so I'm determined to not fail! No music just graham norton on I player

I don't have any pets! Especially cats... can't stand them. I had one when I was young and it used to bite my bum Confused

Got another one then..how the fuck do you wrap a frying pan without giving it away?Grin

canihaveacoffeeplease · 21/12/2018 20:45

Should I change my bed tomorrow which is a nice quiet day with not much planned or wait till Christmas Eve so it's all fresh and new and snuggly for Christmas but is a crazy busy day?

Also, which is better: vanilla fudge or salted caramel?

isitisitwicked · 21/12/2018 20:50

Wrap it then put "this is not a frying pan on it" Job done 👍

OP posts:
isitisitwicked · 21/12/2018 20:51

Definitely change it tomorrow! Then Febreze it Christmas Eve. Fake it til you make it. Also go with salted caramel

Are you using your ironing board, standing up so you don't break your back?

isitisitwicked · 21/12/2018 21:00

No but that's a bloody good idea!

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 22/12/2018 07:45

I can't take credit for it. Got it off mn somewhere.
I did 60 presents yesterday in 1 1/2 hours. No back ache

PrivateEggnog · 22/12/2018 07:49

Omg I knew there must have been a reason I bought an ironing board!! (As it's rarely used for ironing). I've done some of mine but will definitely be using that tip for the rest - brilliant.

Q for the OP: What kind of sellotape are you using? I like the look of those things that attach to your hand but they seem to have sold out everywhere.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/12/2018 07:56

Sellotape. I borrowed a heavy dispenser from work. My manager thought I was bonkers.
Managed to buy my own on Aldi a few years ago.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/12/2018 07:57

Op what are your thoughts on wrapping paper with a cutting grid on the back?

Notso · 22/12/2018 08:16

How do you wrap soft things without making the paper look crumpled and ugly or the paper ripping.
I wrapped a blanket yesterday and it looks shit, I have a cuddle pillow to wrap today which will probably go the same wayHmm

IdaBWells · 22/12/2018 08:20

All soft awkward items, jumpers, soft toys should go in a box of some kind for ease of wrapping.

isitisitwicked · 22/12/2018 17:55

I'm using card factory's finest selotape

OP posts:
isitisitwicked · 22/12/2018 17:57

Those with the cutting grid tend to mean it's quite good quality no? I don't do fancy paper, again card factory!

OP posts:
isitisitwicked · 22/12/2018 17:58

A box is a good idea but I personally can't bearsed with all the fat of finding one! I would wrap it l, then stick a bow on it and hope that people appreciate the thought 🤷‍♀️

Should I get a gingerbread scented candle and a gingerbread house for the kitchen? Xmas Smile

Judeeeeee · 22/12/2018 18:12

Have you got as much to wrap as me? Xmas Grin

SecretWitch · 22/12/2018 18:15

I have not wrapped a present. Not a single one. I’m living life on the edge and loving it. How long can I continue to live on my high?

User5trillion · 22/12/2018 18:22

My husband - who does all the wrapping, god I love him! Found a youtube turorial which shows you how to make gift bags out of wrapping paper. Perfect for awkward presents - if you are still at it op Grin

Also you need sherry, mince pies and Christmas disasters/ fails on t.v.

Still got dh to do but its all in nice regular shaped boxes.

isitisitwicked · 22/12/2018 18:26

No to the candle, yes to the house. I'm not a fan of the ginger bread candles

OP posts:
isitisitwicked · 22/12/2018 18:27

I'm actually nearly done. I had a blip where my 2 year old found some of his presents and unwrapped them. Let's just pretend that didn't happen
