What ages are they? Did you always intend to have 5 children or did you keep going in pursuit of a girl?
BertramKibbler · 05/12/2018 09:56
Do you worry about being environmentally irresponsible?
Sherbetty · 05/12/2018 10:00
They're 9, 8, 6 and 4. I've always wanted a big family
TheMonaOgg · 05/12/2018 10:02
Congratulations!!
I have 5 boys aged 21, 19, 18, 15 and 2
BertramKibbler · 05/12/2018 10:12
I’m not trying to be dull and I didn’t mean it judgementally but we are constantly being told that we are destroying our planet due to over population so I wondered if the OP had consider that.
Sherbetty · 05/12/2018 10:21
Do people assume that you want a girl
Yeah sometimes, before i knew DS5 would be a boy most people seemed to think I was deffiently having a girl this time and they also assumed i wanted one
Sherbetty · 05/12/2018 10:54
Honestly i didn't know much about overpopulation when i started having children and though I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible i understand i am contradicting myself in a way. But i also think if we start using resources in a more efficient way and stop wasting so much overpopulation won't be such a problem
DearTeddyRobinson · 05/12/2018 10:57
Congratulations!
I have 2 boys - anyone who brings up the 'will you try for a girl' nonsense gets shot down in flames
OhWifey · 05/12/2018 12:41
Sorry Bertram, I probably reacted in a bad moment. But actually the latest reports show that falling birth rates across the world are a big problem in terms of propping up economies of the future. Plus I agree with OP. Surely the question should be less about how many children we are having and more about how we raise children to be responsible citizens of the world we have and its resources.

What car do you drive? What's your morning routine like during school days ?
Juicer54321 · 09/12/2018 12:49
Congratulations! I have 4 boys. Couldn’t have coped with 5 but if I had wanted another I’d have preferred another boy.

Is your house destroyed? Mine is and I've only got two! How do you manage all the housework and scheduling all their activities?
Sarahandduck18 · 09/12/2018 13:00
Do you have dolls, toy kitchens, toy cleaning equipment, toy prams etc?
How do you know whose socks are whose?
Is your toilet seat ever down?
DeloresJaneUmbridge · 09/12/2018 13:00
Just a huge congratulations....five boys is fab.
BuildingQuote · 09/12/2018 13:11
Congratulations OP!
Do they like similar things and do they all play together or does one get on best with a certain brother etc.
We only have two DC and I love it so imagine so special having nearly 5
Sherbetty · 09/12/2018 13:20
What car do you drive?
I drive a ford galaxy
What's your morning routine like during school days
A bit manic but we somehow get out the door. Bags are packed the night before and i try to get myself ready before they wake up to make things easier. I wake up DS1 and DS2 first, they get themselves dressed and go down stairs, whilst they're doing that I'll wake up DS3 and DS4 and help them out if they need it. If DH is at home he'll get breakfast sorted if not I'll make it once I'm downstairs or put out some cereal for everyone to help themselves to. Then brush their teeth, wash their faces, brush their hair. Shoes on and out the door
Sherbetty · 09/12/2018 13:29
Are you running out of names?
I am really struggling this time but we have a few that we like so far
Were you honestly gutted at any of your scans once you learned the sex?
To be honest i did feel just slightly disappointed this time, my previous pregnancies had been very similar to each other whilst this one has been quite different so i had a feeling it could be a girl which turned out to be wrong. But I'm of course happy with having a boy
Sherbetty · 09/12/2018 13:51
Is your house destroyed?
We have a playroom which they have full permission to destroy as long they're tidy everywhere else. It doesn't always work though...
How do you manage all the housework and scheduling all their activities?
The washing machine and dryer are on through out the day. I tend to tidy up as i go through the house but i leave an hour or two during the week to tidy properly and clean.
They do some of their activities together and they each do one sport a year usually like football or tennis or basketball and along with swimming lessons. Then occasionally they'll do a club after school that means going back and furth a bit
heeblejeeble · 09/12/2018 14:00
I'm on three boys and even though I'd love a huge family I'm scared to have another boy! My oldest two play so nicely but they fight badly too, is it harmonious in your house or are there extreme fights as well?
