I've worked as security and stewarding staff at major music festivals, mostly on campsites. AMA!

What do you do with any drugs that you confiscate?

I get asked this all the time! People assume we take them ourselves or sell them on. They're all handed over to the police. Some go for immediate testing to see if they're cut with something dangerous or a particularly high concentration so we can circulate that information.

Do drunk people annoy you?

Drunk people are a big part of the job and especially young drunk people who are finding their limits!

There's a lot of good banter with people who are merry or tipsy. Abusive drunks are a bore more than an annoyance.

I get a bit angry when I see teenagers in a state who've been abandoned by their friends and I've seen a few sad sights that have been upsetting.
