Totally on board with this.

But how do you stand on the cold pilau rice issue? Stupid scientists say it vair bad for you

PouchofDouglas · 12/08/2018 10:01

I haven't got where I am today without ramming SPOON* fulls of cold rice into my glossy gob, I hold no truck with such rumours

*again - specialist tools for a specialist job. Spoons are preferred within the community for rice

Do you have any advice for those who would like to start the curry/ fridge thing, but have no previous experience? Tia

Shockers · 12/08/2018 10:01

If you toast a wrap in a dry frying pan, you can put your cold curry inside it and you won’t need a fork.

It’s the breakfast food of the gods.

I really want cold chickpea curry in a toasted wrap now.

Shockers · 12/08/2018 10:02

Cold rice is fine. It’s the reheating that causes problems.

Get it down yer!

bagelbaby · 12/08/2018 10:03

Salivating at toasted wrap serving suggestion

Nuggetsandwich · 12/08/2018 10:04

How old were you when you started doing this? Do your family know about your habit? And do you always use a fork or do you sometimes just use your fingers? Sorry for all the questions. Asking for a friend.

PouchofDouglas · 12/08/2018 10:04

Funny you ask Fanny. I run workshops in various carefully selected 2 star hotels. They tend to be close to a busy motorway junction for your convenience
As part of the £99 day delegate rate you will be able to use all the facilities of the hotel and enjoy unlimited Hildon Table water and Foxes Glacier Mints.

You will also become inducted into our niche fraternity*

I know this is a controversial question but what are your thoughts on slightly soft, day-old, poppadoms being dipped in the curry?

I'm also IN THE BUSINESS (hush, hush like obvs) but I do this and fear being outed from the community.

PouchofDouglas · 12/08/2018 10:06

nuggets

Your application to the training course is on hold for mentioning a trigger word. I am sure you understand

Lump.
At the conference you can go to the ' dead salad' workshop. Wear loose clothing please and remember to respect the confidence rules of the group.

Say no more

Have some self respect, put that curry on a plate and microwave it before placing it on a table with proper silverware.

“Community” my arse.

LumpSatAloneInABoggyMarsh · 12/08/2018 10:14

Pouch PM me the conference dates as I'm also at a stealth cheesecake dipping with a teaspoon course this year and they might clash.

vivalafrida · 12/08/2018 10:15

Are you eating from the original foil carton, hardcore like, or did you decant into a Tupperware before refrigeration took place?

LumpSatAloneInABoggyMarsh · 12/08/2018 10:17

Pint - you are exactly why people like me feel they have to go underground with this!

Ugh. Platerz gotta hate but why not just let people live their best fridge grazing lives??

vivalafrida · 12/08/2018 10:17

Oh, and if anyone wants to know anything about Nutella fingering, I might know someone...

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 12/08/2018 10:18

Cold rice is all wrong.

You want some leftover naan.

Or you can do a toastie with a curry filling.

PintOfMineralWater · 12/08/2018 10:20

a toastie with a curry filling.

Triggered.

whysorude · 12/08/2018 10:23

Does the state of the fridge have any bearing on this activity, ie clean vs biological hazard? Asking for a friend obviously.Blush

doormatof · 12/08/2018 10:23

yes to toasties with curry filling. the food of my teenage years.

Thishatisnotmine · 12/08/2018 10:28

What if you think a dollop of plain yoghurt is needed? Do you taint the pot with your curry fork or decide its time to move everything to the kitchen side to get a spoon and continue there?

Heaviestdirtyestsoul · 12/08/2018 10:40

You clever clever people. I just mumsnetted my leftover aromatic pork and I'm now winning breakfast!

You’ve found a takeaway that sells general Tso chicken in the uk? Please don’t say your in America or I’ll cry. Lol

Not sure about cold curry tho.. hmm 🤔

HotSauceCommittee · 12/08/2018 11:27

I bet you’re dirty, aren’t you? I bet you do it late at night, washing it down with an ice cold swig from a two litre bottle of R Whites Lemonade before wiping your mouth on a tea towel when you’re done.

I know your type.
